Wild Thing


Wild Thing is a monument at Valleyfair. This enormous hyper coaster was built in 1996, and has been going strong every year since opening year. The coaster starts out in a unique station, drops down and to the left, and starts up the 207 foot lift hill. As soon as you crest the top of the lift, you are thrown down a gigantic drop reaching a maximum speed of 74 M.p.h. The rest of the ride consists of banked turns, drops, hills, and an exciting tunnel finale! This coaster is the crown jewel of the park and never fails to impress. Wild Thing is located near Tilt-A-Whirl, and isn't hard to miss. This coaster typically has a 15-60 minute depending on the time of year. The best place to ride is either the front car, the front seats on the second car, or the very back seats. Although those are recommended, this coaster delivers a punch anywhere you sit, so make sure to check out Wild Thing!
