Don't let a little rain spoil your day at Valleyfair! Although it might not be the most fun to spend a day at the park in the rain, don't let that stop you from going when there's a slight drizzle. Most rides are open during the rain, but some of the larger attractions may be closed. If there is lightning or thunder in the area, most of the rides will shut down for a short period of time, and once the dangerous weather leaves the area, everything will begin to operate as scheduled again. Something you may not know, some of the least crowded days are summer days when it is raining, so if you don't mind getting a little wet, planning to go on a day with light rain isn't a bad idea!

-Get to the park 10-15 minutes before park opening (usually 10 a.m.), That way you will avoid most of the lines for buying tickets, or you can buy tickets online and eliminate the waiting process totally.

- If you typically go 3 or more times to the park a year, consider buying a Season Pass. It pays for itself within 2-3 visits, and offers exclusive benefits that Non-Season Pass holders cannot benefit from.

- If you're looking for thrills right away, take a left once inside the park, and head towards the Steel Venom/Challenge Park walkway. You'll have the options of riding Enterprise, Chaos, Steel Venom, or one of the many Challenge Park attractions.

- Ride Steel Venom early. It is a shuttle coaster so capacity isn't very high, so if it's a busy day, lines can get especially long later in the day.

- You can find various coupons and discounts in local grocery stores, pop cans, or at restaurants as well. You can find where these discounts are located on Valleyfair's website.

- Valleyfair is busiest during the months of July, August, and later October. One of the busiest days of the year is July 4th, so if you're going then, expect very long wait times, and for it to be very crowded.

- The best days to go to Valleyfair are weekdays, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. During the summer, Saturdays can get extremely busy, so try to avoid weekends as much as possible.

- During the Halloween Haunt at Valleyscare, lines can get very lengthy for the haunted houses as well as the rides later in the Haunt Season mostly on the Weekends.

- The bigger rides such as Steel Venom, Renegade, Xtreme Swing, Wild Thing, and Power Tower will have the longest lines, so ride those early and get them out of the way so you don't have to spend the whole day waiting in line.

- Valleyfair is a large park, so get ready to do a lot of walking. Limit the number of things you bring with you, as that will make it easier and more convenient with boarding and exiting rides, amongst other things.

- If you get hungry, there are food vendors and stands located through-out the park, but if you are hungry for a full meal, you can visit Coasters Dine-In, Stadium Pizza & Grill, or the Lunch Basket.

- Don't forget to go past Renegade, most people don't notice that part of the park, so Thunder Canyon and Excalibur usually have short lines.

- During the hottest days of the summer, the Water Rides as well as Soak City Waterpark tend to have very long lines, so try to ride those rides early, and get a spot at Soak City Waterpark before everyone else as well.

- If you intend on seeing a park show, we recommend getting to the location of the show 15-20 minutes before the show starts so you can get a good seat, and avoid the rush.

- If you are having trouble keeping track of or carrying some of the items you have brought with, there are lockers located at the park that are available for daily rent.

- There are security guards all over the park, so if there's a problem, just talk to one.

- ATM's are located through-out the park, but can be found at, or by these locations:
