Transitions

The Flying Trapeze was installed at Valleyfair when the park opened in 1976. The ride has thrilled thousands of people, and will continue to premier in Planet Snoopy as Charlie Brown's Wind Up. The ride (judging by the concept art) looks like it will be moved over a little bit, and will be located closer towards the central area of the High Roller Plaza. We look forward to seeing the Flying Trapeze return!

The Treasure Tree started out as the Berenstain Bears home when Berenstain Bear Country opened at the park. After Kidworks was installed for the 2004 season, the tree was transformed into the Treasure Tree which held a miniature gift shop inside. For the 2011 season, Snoopy's Moon Bounce will debut in the former Treasure Tree spot. This inflatable Snoopy will tower over Planet Snoopy, and will be a great addition to the list of new rides coming in during this expansion.

Half Pint Park was home to a small area of rides right next to the Flying Trapeze and Frog Hopper. These three small kid rides were known as Busy Boats, Lil' Guppy, and Rub-A-Dub Tubs. These rides will be removed in order to make way for a new pathway, as well as Peanuts Road Rally: A kids race track attraction.

Near High Roller's exit ramp, there was a plot of land that folks here on Valleyfairzone always thought would be perfect for a new ride of some sort. Well our wish has been granted, and for Planet Snoopy, a new aerial helicopter ride will be installed. Stretching from right around High Roller's lift hill to Snoopy vs. the Red Baron (Flying Trapeze), Snoopy's Rocket Express will be sure to make for a unique and fun addition to Planet Snoopy!

Mild Thing debuted in 1976 when Valleyfair opened. Operating up until the 2009 season, Cosmic Coaster, a new kids roller coaster will premier right around the area where the kids train in Half Pint Park was. Cosmic Coaster formerly ran at Dorney Park under the name, Dragon Coater. Guests must be over 48" or taller to ride Cosmic Coaster, but if accompanied by a parent/guardian, guests under 48" may ride as well.

Three Point Shootout is a basketball game that is featured at Cedar Fair parks all across the country. Before being added in 2008, the area that is occupied by Three Point Shootout was home to other attractions such as Xtreme Tramopolines, the Roller Totspot Playground, and the Mapapa/Jokers Wild Stage Area. This area will change once again with the expansion of Planet Snoopy, becoming Linus Launcher; a new family attraction manufactured by Zamperla that will allow guests to experience the feeling of flying.

Rockin' Tug was a popular ride in Kidworks before the Planet Snoopy, and we have no doubt that it will continue to be a thriving, family-friendly attraction after the transformation. Rockin' Tug has been rethemed for the Planet Snoopy transformation, and renamed Lucy's Rockin' Tug.

Balloon Race returns in this new kids area as Flying Ace Balloon Race; a new balloon experience featuring a refurbished, rethemed, and repainted Baloon Race! Located in the same spot it had previously been, Flying Aces Balloon Race will invite guests from the back of the park into Planet Snoopy through the back entrance/exit of the area.

The Foam Ball Factory was added to Kidworks in 2004, and has been a popular attraction among a younger audience. Featuring cannons, airblasters, and foam balls, the Foam Ball Factory is thankfully staying with Valleyfair through the Planet Snoopy transformation, where it will become the PEANUTS Playhouse, a spruced up version of the factory including an all new look, and features as well!
There are many other transitions that will take place during the transformation from Half Pint Park and Kidworks, to Planet Snoopy, and once those have been confirmed, we will post the official transformations here. Thanks for reading!
